My entry for
 's May contest - the theme was to include rain and plants/flowers.I've been thinking of this idea for a while - ai ai gasa (the "Love-Love-Umbrella" - though I've been told it more accurately translates to "Together Joint Umbrella"). Sharing an umbrella can be seen as a romantic gesture in Japan and instead of carving initials in a tree, they draw the ai-ai-gasa with their names to symbolize coupledom. This sort of turned out how I wanted - I wanted it to be a little blurry like a watercolor to go with the mood and background. Inuyasha and Kagome (c) Rumiko Takahashi |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
