Here's my half of an art trade with which was the characters of his original comic K.T. drawn in the Inuyasha anime style. And we all know how much I love to draw IY, LOL.
This ended up a bit rushed since I wanted to get it done before I went out of town this weeked. So . . . . I hope I got them close enough! And I hope he likes it.
lol. is this your concept of "rushed"? j/k... it's awesome, as usual just a question: do you usually draw the lineart with the tablet only or you also use the pen tool in Photoshop? I'm asking you because your lines look so clear compared to mine, so I want to steal your secret

lol u captured iy style very well xD first thought that i had lookin at this pic was 'wtf what is miroku wearin...??' xDD then i realized that it's not inu fan art xDD
I ink with the tablet only now. Here's my big secret to how I make smooth lines in PS: I start the picture really large (what you see here is 50% of the original size). When you shrink it down, the little wiggles and bumps magically disappear. Also, I find that zooming in (around 300%) helps a lot. There's less jitter that way. Oh, and try to make long single lines (I use ctrl-z a LOT) vs. lots of little sketchy ones.
Or, I ink in Manga Studio - that program actually has an adjustable smoothing feature.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
